As posted earlier last week, we traveled to Los Angeles to celebrate our international thanksgiving to God together with our brethren in the Church of God International. Needless to say, it was a huge success. We got there early enough to join the choir in the congregational singing and our seats have been actually reserved by the thanksgiving coordinators at the venue.

We’ve learned so much, of course, from our leaders concerning the true teachings of the Bible. This time, it was about the extent of the salvation performed by the Lord Jesus Christ. We’re so glad to have heard this lesson. Thanks be to God, indeed!

After the International Thanksgiving, we also visited Mama Fems (my mother) at Mission Viejo to see how she was doing. It was a joy to see her before we headed home to Temecula. Hopefully, we’ll get to visit her more often and our other kinsfolk to keep the family updated with everything that’s going on with the Liams. Until next posting, take care and God bless.

Back in CONUS

A breath of fresh air! Aaahh…am back in the States. Am staying at the Evergreen Lodge at NBK Bangor, Washington. I hope to get my processing done in the next couple of days so I can finally join my family in California.

I love the cool breeze here in Washington as compare to the humidity of the Bahrain Kingdom. I don’t miss that at all. California weather will be even better so I really can’t wait to get home – I know warm sunshine awaits me there along with the beautiful smiles of my lovely wife and my wholesome daughters.

In Bahrain

Am now in Bahrain, currently working for CFWP AIMD. It’s not bad here, but I missed my family. I like the weather because it’s warm, but I do not appreciate the sand storm so much. These past few days, it was actually cold. Imagine, we have cold days here in Bahrain. It’s true!

I am not going to be able to post updates here daily but I will surely keep writing fresh news from the Gulf, specifically about my activities at work and with the brethren, every chance I get. Ciao for now!

Processing Updates

Snowy PathAll is going well here in NBK Bangor and NBK Bremerton. I am almost done with my medical and dental screenings. Today, I will be meeting with PS2 Davis at PSD to complete my other personnel requirements. After these appointments, I may be able to secure my ticket to Bahrain and check out from my barracks.

God willing, I should be there on 1 February ’08 as planned. More updates to follow.

Joey and Ria in New YorkMany things had happened since the last time we updated our blog. Ria and I went to New York for a chorale competition last December while Gianne and Elyssa had a short vacation with their Uncles Bill and Abet. We did not win in the group singing contest but we sure had an awesome time in the Big Apple. We took some nice photos and if time permits, we will post them here soon.

As for the latest happenings, I will be taking a brief assignment in Bahrain on 28 January. This is the third year in a row in which I will be embarking on an overseas tour. I like it because it gives me the opportunity to travel other parts of the world and still support my family. Communication is a lot better, too, because of the availability of modern technology such as wireless Internet connections and VOIP’s.

More updates to follow when I get to Bahrain. Thanks for reading. God bless us all always.
