We are just a simple family which goal is to share our life experiences as we serve the true God of the Bible in His Church.

Our prayer is that we can reach those who have the same interests like we do and be able to share with them the gospel of truth that we have learned from the sacred scriptures. But after all it is said and done, we remain as lowly servants of the Almighty.

It’s a New Year Once Again

2009 is here and of course, we foremostly acknowledge God’s love, care, and salvation that we had experienced in the previous year more than anything. He is our magnificent Provider and Savior, indeed.

As the new year starts, we brace ourselves for some challenges, especially with the current economic situation INCONUS. Definitely, we are not alone in facing these financial and unemployment turmoils. God is on our side so we are not worried even if this world turns upside down.

To God be the glory forever!

Scholastic Updates

First trimester of school has just concluded and of course, as anticipated, Gianne and Elyssa again did a wonderful job, as they accomplished in the past academic years. Gianne received perfect grades which earned her another spot at the honor roll list while Elyssa qualified for the GATE testing due to her superior performance in her grade level. She is way advanced in reading, writing, and mathematics, just like Gianne when she was still a second grader.

Needless to say, Ria and I are so proud of our beautiful and intellectual daughters. Thanks be to God for blessing us with two amazing children. To God be the glory forever. More updates and photos will be added soon.

A Blessed Weekend Thanksgiving

As posted earlier last week, we traveled to Los Angeles to celebrate our international thanksgiving to God together with our brethren in the Church of God International. Needless to say, it was a huge success. We got there early enough to join the choir in the congregational singing and our seats have been actually reserved by the thanksgiving coordinators at the venue.

We’ve learned so much, of course, from our leaders concerning the true teachings of the Bible. This time, it was about the extent of the salvation performed by the Lord Jesus Christ. We’re so glad to have heard this lesson. Thanks be to God, indeed!

After the International Thanksgiving, we also visited Mama Fems (my mother) at Mission Viejo to see how she was doing. It was a joy to see her before we headed home to Temecula. Hopefully, we’ll get to visit her more often and our other kinsfolk to keep the family updated with everything that’s going on with the Liams. Until next posting, take care and God bless.

My Reasons for Thanksgiving

There are many reasons why we should offer sacrifice of thanksgiving to God. Mine is actually countless. I could never imagine existing without God in my life. He gives me the strength I need each day to carry on my tasks for the ministry and my family.

THE ACTS 17:28
For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

No matter how difficult life is, God does not give up on me so why should I give up and quit serving Him. Sure, troubles and sufferings, even persecutions abound if you are truly a Christian and serving God the right way. But are these things really enough to make

you quit in your service to the Lord? No, because we are made strong by these trials. We can do it if we renew our faith and trust in the Lord and do His will.

THE ROMANS 8:37
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

PHILIPPIANS 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

Let’s continue to serve God and thank Him continually. Life everlasting and eternal joy await us once we’re done with the pain and sufferings of this world.

Gianne, our eldest daughter, earned Student of the Month for September 2009 at Ysabel Barnett Elementary School. She received her award this past Friday for her outstanding academic achievement and awesome citizenship at school. Congratulations, Ghie! We are so proud of you. To God be the glory!

No Internet, No Update

Not much update from us because our internet here at home is very unstable. It goes online for a few minutes and then it stays off for the remainder of the day (a daily routine). Most of the time, I go to Barnes and Noble just to send e-mails out and especially when I do my research for my scripts for headlines news for a television network in the Philippines.

I hope that our internet connection problem will be fixed soon, but if not, Barnes and Noble is just around the corner and it does not create a big hole in my pocket, gasoline wise. Thank God! So, until next blog. Take care and God bless.
